The Replica Rolex GMT-Master 16750 is a classic timepiece produced from the late 1970s to the late 1980s. Its distinctive blue and red bezel, often referred to as the “Pepsi bezel,” makes it a favorite among classic Rolex watch enthusiasts.
This watch is a successor to the original GMT-Master, which was first introduced in 1954 and designed for pilots who needed to track multiple time zones. The 16750 is similar to the original GMT-Master but features several practical improvements.
One significant upgrade is the movement. The replica Rolex 16750 uses a newer movement (the Caliber 3075) than earlier models. This new movement allows the user to quickly and easily set the date via the crown without having to rotate the hour hand multiple times. This significantly saves time. Due to this new feature, the arrangement of the hands was also slightly changed – the GMT hand is now closer to the center of the dial than the hour hand. The GMT hand, in conjunction with the 24-hour bezel, still allows for the simultaneous display of two time zones.
During its eight-year production run, the stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master 16750 was available with two main dial variations. The earliest versions featured a matte black dial with simple hour markers. Later versions featured a glossy black dial with white gold hour markers.
A very special and luxurious version is the “Serti” dial, found on some gold GMT-Master 16758 models. “Serti” is derived from the French word for “set with jewels.” These watches feature diamond hour markers on the dial, with rubies or sapphires at the 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions, making it a truly luxurious timepiece.
As an important model in the GMT-Master series, the 16750 offers collectors the classic GMT-Master look while also providing more modern conveniences, such as quick date setting.
